| ABOUT US: Pragati Sinha : Her paintings often include combination of anatomical images symbolizing romanticism. Since she was a young kid, drawing really caught her interest. She didn't study art in any institution of art but has developed her own understanding of lines, tones, light, shades and perspective. She works with all mediums including oils, watercolors, acrylics, pastels and pencils. Painting from last 15 years, her first painted works were inspired by century old Indian art including temple murals and palace's paintings (as far back as 2nd century BC). She has been dedicating her time and talent in painting traditional themes, for e.g. Indian couples in various poses. She also loves painting portraits, landscapes, birds, animals, and beautiful flowers. She's very adaptable and combine different textures and cultures in a burst of color and form that is as functional as it is fun. For instance, beautiful landscapes, birds etc on junk CDs, papermache coasters, 3D art using cement on paper & much more. She likes both rich full bodied and light pastels colors in her paintings. Recently she has started her line of home furnishing including shams, duvet covers, curtains, napkins, table covers, nursery bedsheets etc painted in Madhubani and Worli form of art, a folk art of India. She also made couple of successful art in Australian dot paintings & china paintings on ceramics.
She taught drawing, coloring and cartooning to kids in Artworks, Kokomo Mall & Bona Vista, Kokomo and also got published in Kokomo Tribune, a local news paper for successfully instructing art to little kids. She also teach and exhibit art in India whenever she visits. Her basic goal is sharing the innumerable possibilities for the artistic expression and transmission of her enthusiasm for art to the coming up generations. She would like to add her mission as an artist. She do not have a formal education in Art, but constant encouragement from her family members and friends and her degree in fashion designing made me take up this in-built talent more seriously. Prakriti Sinha: Having her base in India, she follows her dream of taking art on to new level. Knitting, embroidering, crocheting etc are some more talent forms she is expert into, away from painting and crafting. Her painting spree includes various kinds of paintings on different kinds of fabrics, paper and canvases. She excels in madhubani, a folk art form of India. Her subject matter varies—she at times presents floral imagery, or images from daily life, or she creates fragmentary reflections of hindu culture. The modern, ironic aspect to her work is that she uses a network of highly detailed lines and a very structured composition to create time-honored images which have, as their subject matter, sublime visions of nature. She also specialise in crafting techniques which she utilizes well in her candle making, flower making, glass paintings, murals, and 3 D paintings. She is a very versatile artist and is skilled at a wide variety of subjects. her works can be viewed under madhubani, glass painting, and other crafts.
